An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical Reliability Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation in Melbourne. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protected, compliant, and reliable performance of the site's electrical assets and hazardous area installations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you will drive electrical reliability, asset performance, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex industrial manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical reliability, maintenance, and compliance across the site.
Govern the Hazardous Area Management System (HAMS) and electrical safety programs.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve asset performance.
Provide technical support for HV/LV systems, PLCs, DCS, and protection systems.
Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and energy optimisation initiatives.
Maintain electrical standards, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Support maintenance, operations,



and capital project teams with technical expertise.

About You
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, PLC/DCS controls, and protection systems.
Experience with hazardous area installations and electrical compliance requirements.
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance management practices.
Robust troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Hazardous Area Classification, Inspection, or Design experience.
Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) or Asset Management experience.
Exposure to energy management and optimisation projects.
Experience supporting capital works and plant upgrades.
