This boutique accounting firm provides accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses. With a strong focus on building long-term client relationships, the firm delivers tailored advice that helps businesses grow and succeed.

As the firm continues to expand, an opportunity has become available for a Part-Time Tax & Business Services Accountant to join the team. Working fully remotely 3 days per week, this role offers genuine flexibility and is ideal for professionals seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to build their career in public practice.

The Role:

/n

As a Tax & Business Services Accountant, you will work with a portfolio of business clients, providing quality taxation and business advisory services while collaborating with an experienced and supportive team.

/n

Your responsibilities will include:

/n

/n

- /n

Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Preparing and reviewing BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Assisting with tax planning and identifying tax-effective opportunities for clients

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Working alongside the Principal to support business advisory and Virtual CFO engagements

/n

/n

/n

- /n





Liaising directly with clients and providing proactive advice and exceptional service

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Ensuring compliance with ATO lodgement deadlines and legislative requirements

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Maintaining strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation legislation

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Using Xero and other practice management software to deliver efficient client outcomes

/n

/n

About You:

/n

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and takes pride in delivering quality work.

/n

You'll ideally have:

/n

/n

- /n

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

/n

/n

/n

- /n

CA or CPA qualified or currently working towards completion.

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Minimum 2-4 years' experience in Australian Public Practice within Business Services and Tax

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Sound knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Strong experience using Xero and confidence working with cloud-based accounting systems

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

/n

/n

/n

- /n

Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload

/n

/n

/n

- /n
