About the Role

This is a Permanent Part time (shift work) role, based in Orange NSW.

Our Residential Youth Workers support young people in our dedicated crisis accommodation houses. The young people access our service voluntarily, with a goal to support them to transition into long term sustainable housing.

Some of your key responsibilities will include

- Building positive and professional relationships with young people.
- Providing day-to-day support within a residential setting.
- Assisting young people to develop independent living and life skills.
- Supporting young people to access housing, education, employment and community services.
- Contributing to case management plans and goal setting.
- Advocating for young people and supporting them to access services.
- Maintaining accurate case notes and client records.
- Supporting a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive environment.

Your Roster

This position operates on a four-week rotating roster, averaging around 55 hours per fortnight, with a balance of day, weekend and sleepover shifts.

You must be able to commit to a consistent shift-work pattern that includes sleepovers,



ensuring stability and routine for the young people in our care. What you can except is;

- A fair and balanced rotation designed to share weekends and sleepovers evenly across the team.
- Reliable and consistent rostering – you’ll know your shifts well in advance.
- Work–life balance built in, with consistent days off and recovery time between shifts.
- Penalty rates and sleepover allowances in line with the SCHADS Award.

Essential Requirements

- A minimum of a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services or a related field, or enrolled and actively working towards.
- Current Driver Licence.
- NSW Working With Children Check.
- National Criminal History Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks).
- Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
