Royal Life Saving WA (RLSSWA) is a not-for profit organisation, serving the community as the largest provider of swimming and water safety in our state. Our strategic vision is to “Bring people together to eliminate drowning and empower communities to be protected around water”.

The Vocational Training Team strives to train and accredit lifesavers, lifeguards, instructors, aquatic supervisors and first responders to act on this vision.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Vocational Training Team to ensure all training and assessment products, systems, and practices comply with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), regulatory obligations, and funding contract requirements. The position will also lead the design, development, validation, and review of high-quality training and assessment resources.

The Training Quality and Compliance Manager will foster a culture of quality assurance, educational excellence, industry engagement, and continuous improvement across the organisation’s training operations.

The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for:

1. Leading RTO compliance culture of self-assurance through continuous monitoring and improvement to maintain alignment with regulatory requirements
2. Support a culture of training quality, student focussed support and wellbeing
3. Leading change management processes across the RTO
4. Support a collaborative working environment across education and training teams.
5. Leading the design and implementation of innovative face-to-face, workplace, and eLearning strategies and resources
6.



Ensuring the Trainer workforce has credentials with vocational currency and competency.
7. Leading the design, development, and maintenance of training and assessment strategies (TAS)

Our managers are expected to coordinate Scheduling and Enrolments, Delivery and Student Support, Quality and Course Development, Trainer and Workplace Engagement. As a result, they are expected to work cohesively through effective communication to deliver excellence, maintain integrity, embed safety and support growth.

Selection Criteria:

- Desired Diploma or higher qualification in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Sound understanding of the Standards for RTOs, AQF framework, and national and state regulatory and reporting requirements
- Ability to lead the design of innovative face-to-face, workplace, and eLearning strategies and resources
- Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), validation plans, and learning and assessment resources.
- Experience in conducting or managing internal audits, responding to non-compliance, and implementing remedial actions.
- Support training managers to collaborate with administrative staff, and key stakeholders in the development and delivery of vocational training
- Must have experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), student management systems, and other digital training technologies
