The Role

Reporting to the Pathways Project Lead, the Pathways Project Coordinator – Entry Activation delivers national projects that strengthen entry into and progression through Para sport. The role leads will develop strategies and build targeted initiatives for priority cohorts, establishing baseline pathway information, addressing identified needs and improving connections to relevant opportunities.

The Coordinator will work with people with lived experience, sporting organisations, subject-matter experts and Para system partners to understand pathway needs and develop practical, accessible and audience-appropriate entry resources. Projects may include pathway research and mapping, stakeholder engagement, guides and presentations, education activities and targeted entry activations.

In addition to this recurring portfolio, the role will deliver discrete, time-bound projects that respond to identified gaps, priorities or opportunities within the Para sport system.

This is a fixed-term contract role until 30 June 2028 and can be based from our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office. It will require occasional interstate travel and weekend work.

The Person

You are a highly organised and process-driven coordinator who enjoys turning complex information into practical resources and activities that help people connect with Para sport.

You bring practical experience coordinating projects, developing resources, engaging stakeholders or delivering community or participant-focused initiatives. You are comfortable consolidating information, coordinating specialist input and developing practical implementation and communication approaches for different audiences.

You communicate clearly, build constructive relationships and work collaboratively with people with lived experience, sporting organisations and system partners.

Knowledge of Para sport,



disability inclusion or athlete pathways would be beneficial but is not essential. Most importantly, you are curious and willing to build your understanding of accessible engagement, system-wide knowledge sharing and the broader Para sport ecosystem.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate the development and delivery of targeted Para sport entry initiatives for identified priority cohorts.
- Translate agreed priorities into structured project plans, activities, deliverables and timeframes.
- Consolidate information about relevant sports, entry points, eligibility requirements and pathway opportunities.
- Engage individuals with lived experience to inform the relevance, accessibility and usefulness of project activities and resources.
- Build constructive working relationships with sporting organisations, Para Units, community groups and other Para system partners.
- Develop stakeholder engagement, implementation and communication plans to support project delivery and uptake.
- Develop clear and accessible guides, presentations and resources for use across the wider Para sport ecosystem.
- Coordinate education, engagement and targeted entry activities that connect priority cohorts with Para sport opportunities.
- Apply standardised processes, templates and tools to support consistent and high-quality project delivery.
- Prepare reports on stakeholder reach, resources developed, activities delivered, participant engagement, referrals and project outcomes.
- Collect stakeholder and participant feedback, evaluate outcomes and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver discrete,



time-bound Para sport system projects within agreed scope and delivery parameters.

Key Competencies

- Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills with experience consolidating and presenting information and input across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating projects, resources or participant-focused initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate information.
- Ability to develop clear, accessible and audience-appropriate resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills and a collaborative attribute.
- Ability to engage respectfully with people with lived experience and community groups.
- Interest in the Australian sport system and Para sport pathways is beneficial.

Education and Training

- Qualifications in sports management, community development, education, communications, project coordination or a related discipline are preferable but not essential depending on experience.
- Working with Children’s Check.
