Adelaide Football Club

West Lakes

Bring your creativity to where the action happens.

You’ll help bring the Club to life across our digital channels, turning moments, stories and ideas into content built for how people watch, scroll and share.

We’re looking for someone who understands digital culture, has an eye for great content, knows what works in short-form video, and can take an idea from “we should do something with this” to something live on our channels.

What you’ll be doing

No two days will look the same, but you’ll spend your time:

- Capturing, creating and publishing content across our social channels, website and app
- Editing and repurposing content into engaging digital formats, with a strong focus on short-form vertical video, alongside graphics, written stories and live updates
- Bringing fans closer to our AFL and AFLW teams through behind-the-scenes content
- Helping tell the story of match days, training, events and other key moments across the Club
- Keeping across trends, emerging formats and what’s happening in digital culture, then finding ways to make them work on our channels
- Creating content that helps us reach current audiences and grow how fans engage with the Club
- Using performance and audience insights to understand what’s working and what we should try next
- Bringing creative thinking to campaigns across membership, ticketing, merchandise, partnerships and community
- Working with teams across the Club to bring their ideas and initiatives to life digitally
- Throwing new ideas into the mix and helping us keep evolving what excellent content looks like

What you’ll bring

We’re less interested in ticking every box and more interested in what you can create, how you think and what you’ll bring to the team.

You’ll ideally have:

- A strong feel for social media and what makes people stop scrolling
- The ability to capture and create quality content quickly

- Experience creating and editing content for digital platforms, particularly short-form video and social-first formats
- A good eye for visual content and confident writing skills
- An instinct for spotting a good content opportunity when it happens
- Curiosity about trends, platforms and where digital content is heading
- The confidence to bring new ideas and try different approaches
- The ability to work calmly and creatively when things are moving quickly
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work with people right across the Club
- Most importantly, we want to see what you can do. Whether your experience comes from sport, another brand, an agency, freelance work, your own channels or somewhere completely different, show us the content you’re proud of.

About the team

Our Digital team looks after the Club’s social channels, website and app across our AFL and AFLW programs.

You’ll work across a wide range of content, campaigns and Club initiatives, with the opportunity to contribute ideas and see them come to life. You’ll have a platform, a passionate audience, and plenty of opportunities to create great content and make your mark.
