Full Time Reservations Agent

As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand in Australia, we invite you to belong to something bigger. We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent! In this exciting role, you will support reservations for both Mercure Sydney and ibis Sydney World Square, managing guest enquiries, bookings, and delivering outstanding service across both properties.

With 166 rooms at ibis Sydney World Square, 517 newly refurbished rooms at Mercure Sydney, 12 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, our team is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Full-Time Reservations Agent.

Job Description:

- Input and process all reservations via both hotels PMS (opera cloud) and using Accor’s RESAweb
- Responding to guest calls ensuring an outstanding guest experience
- Have fun in selling our rooms, with a positive approach to maximize yield in both occupancy and rates
- Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
- Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests

Qualifications:

- A sound knowledge & application of the Opera system or similar Reservations system – highly desirable
- A genuine interest to listen to others stories and look for opportunities to make them feel special




- A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational & time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English and high proficiency across all communication modes
- Adaptable availability, including Saturdays (on rotational basis)
