Our Bringing Baby Home (BBH) program is expanding from Launceston to the Northwest, creating exciting opportunities for casual Bringing Baby Home Support Workers to join this specialised and rewarding program.

Bringing Baby Home is an up to three-month long residential parenting program that supports parent/s and their newborn to remain safely together. The program provides a supportive, family-focused workplace where parents can build confidence, strengthen their parenting and care skills, and work towards safe and independent parenting.

As a Bringing Baby Home Support Worker, you will work alongside parent/s and their baby, providing practical support, encouragement and guidance while helping to build and assess parenting skills. Please note that shifts are dependent on client numbers. When there are short periods where no clients are in the program, there may be no work available within the program.

About the opportunity

As a Bringing Baby Home Support Worker, you will:

- Have experience in supporting parent/s and babies.
- Cultivate and strengthen positive parent-child relationships and help build parent capability.
- Hold a valid and current unrestricted Australian licence.
- Hold a Certificate III in Community Services or similar or working toward; OR lesser formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience: or attained through previous appointments, service and/or study.
- Hold a current (less than 12 months old)



Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check OR National Police check or ability to acquire.
- Possess a NDIS endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card or ability to acquire.
- Have an up-to-date Whooping Cough (Pertussis) Vaccination.
