About the role

We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join the team in Broken Hill, NSW. This is a full-time position based in office, offering an exciting opportunity to work within the mining and resources sector. As an Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our mining facility, ensuring efficiency, safety and productivity across all operational activities. This role is integral to maintaining our high operational standards and contributing to the success of our mining operations.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and monitoring mining equipment and machinery in accordance with operational procedures and safety protocols

- Conducting routine maintenance checks and reporting any equipment defects or anomalies to supervisory staff

- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations whilst performing operational duties

- Recording operational data and completing required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

- Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless workflow and efficient shift operations

- Following standard operating procedures and company policies at all times

- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the operational area

- Responding promptly to operational issues and assisting in their resolution

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Operator in the mining or resources industry, with demonstrated proficiency in operating mining equipment

- Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements specific to mining operations

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify and report equipment faults





- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate operational records

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly

- Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including working in varying environmental conditions

- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mining operations or equipment operation are advantageous

- A valid driver's licence is preferred
