This position works with the CEO, Allied Health Assistant and exercise instructors to deliver strength and balance improvement programs to Balwyn Evergreen clients. The focus is on retaining current clients, growing current program participant numbers and developing new creative exercise and movement programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver strength and balance improvement programs to clients
Develop new innovative exercise and movement programs
Focus on retaining current clients and growing program participant numbers
Manage the Allied Health Assistant and fitness instructors to ensure continuity of classes, as well as achieving variety and interest
Ensure classes are delivered in accordance with grant agreements and comply with the Aged Care Act and standards
Provide strategic focus on health, allied health or rehabilitation services that support clients in maintaining strength, health and wellbeing and link them into ongoing exercise programs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You are a degree-qualified Exercise Physiologist (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist will be considered) with current ESSA or AHPRA accreditation and adherence to PD requirements. You are compassionate and are committed to client satisfaction and the provision of prompt, attentive services. You will be a team player demonstrating collaboration with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering allied health programs for older people living in the community.
Proven ability to independentlyassess and prescribe clinical exercise in line with current best practice guidelines.
Ability to identify issues early and develop practical solutions to mitigate risk.
Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with a diverse range of volunteers, older people and colleagues and sensitivity in working with a range of diverse cultures.
Experience in working with older people living with dementia and chronic illness will be highly regarded.
You will be required to provide evidence of:
Accreditation in Exercise Physiology with ESSA (or APHRA)
A current police check or NDIS check (or be prepared to obtain)
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
