Join Waverley Council’s Arts and Culture team as a Senior Producer and lead the development and delivery of high-quality arts, cultural and creative programs that engage diverse audiences and bring people together.

About the role
In this role, you will:
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of major arts and cultural programs, projects and events.
- Develop innovative creative concepts and translate ideas into engaging audience experiences
- Work collaboratively with artists, producers, creative practitioners, communities and internal stakeholders
- Manage production timelines, budgets, logistics, risk and operational requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the arts, cultural and creative sectors
- Contribute to the strategic development of Waverley’s Arts & Culture program and its role within the broader community
Skills & Experience
To be successful you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in arts management, programming or producing, with strong, current professional networks across the national arts sector.
- Experience in managing team members involved in arts and/or event management.
- Excellent skills in building constructive relationships with arts and community stakeholders and experience working collaboratively across an organisation.
- Great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in creating and delivering arts and culture projects and programs that offer engaging experiences and reflect industry best practice.
- Outstanding organisational and administrative skills including experience in establishing new systems and processes.
- Strong experience in budgeting and tracking expenditure, project and resource management, negotiation, contracting and risk management in an arts context.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary space with numerous stakeholders from diverse backgrounds spanning the creative sector, community groups and government organisations.
- Ability to lead or support cross organisational project teams to deliver agreed outcomes in a complex environment as needed.
- High level written and verbal reasoning skills.
- Good working knowledge of current arts and culture marketing and promotional strategies.
- Robust production and event management experience.
- Ability and willingness to work outside standard office hours, including weekends.
