About the role
Join our Development Planning team and play a key role in shaping the future of the Central Coast by assessing development applications, undertaking site inspections, and contributing to land use planning outcomes. Working alongside experienced planners, you'll build your expertise through hands-on application assessment, research, stakeholder engagement, and participation in planning meetings and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging planning professional with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills who is passionate about delivering positive community outcomes and exceptional customer service.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Undertaking a university degree in Urban and Regional Planning
- Demonstrated understanding of local and regional planning concepts
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated competent level of negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal and communication skills
- Current Class C Drivers Licence is desirable but not essential
The commencing salary for this position is up to $80,030.20. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $92,727.03 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
- We have a temporary full-time role available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
