About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive APS 6 Human Resources Project Officer to play a hands-on role in delivering people and culture initiatives that make a real difference across the ACMA. You will help shape programs that build organisational capability, strengthen employee engagement, promote diversity and inclusion, and support a positive and connected workplace culture.
We are looking to fill an immediate non-ongoing vacancy for 12 months, with the possibility of becoming ongoing. We are also looking to build a merit pool as we anticipate several upcoming vacancies across the branch that may be either ongoing or non-ongoing.
The role is responsible for:
- managing and continuously improving the ACMA’s rewards and recognition program
- coordinating learning and development activities, including procurement and engagement with learning providers
- supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning programs
- assisting with internal communications that keep employees informed and engaged
- coordinating other HR projects as required including preparing project plans, briefings, reports and communication materials
- supporting the coordination of diversity and inclusion initiatives that contribute to an inclusive workplace culture
- building productive relationships with internal stakeholders, external providers and procurement partners
- identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver practical business solutions
- leading a small team by setting priorities, coordinating workflows and supporting team members to achieve quality outcomes
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a capable, organised and collaborative HR professional who can managecompeting priorities and deliver practical outcomes in a busy environment.
You will have:
- experience coordinating HR, learning and development, employee engagement or organisational development initiatives
- sound project and program coordination skills with the ability to plan, monitor and deliver activities within agreed timeframes
- experience coordinating procurement activities and managing relationships with external providers
- excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare clear and engaging content for different audiences
- sound stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build constructive working relationships
- sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- experience supervising or coordinating a small team, including setting priorities and supporting capability development
- the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a cooperative team environment
- a commitment to the APS and ACMA Values, integrity, diversity and inclusion, and physical and psychological safety.
