Our town centres are shaped bythe people who live, work and do business in them. We’re looking for someonewho can build strong connections with local businesses, listen to their ideasand challenges, and turn those conversations into action.
As Town Centre Liaison Officer,you’ll play an important role in creating vibrant, welcoming and thriving towncentres that our communities can be proud of.
The Town Centre Liaison Officer will:
- Connect – Be a visible and trusted Council contact for local businesses, buildinggenuine relationships and creating opportunities for collaboration andgrowth.
- Listen – Understand the ideas, challenges and opportunities businesses areexperiencing and connect them with the right people, services andopportunities across Council.
- Activate – Help bring our town centres to life through events, promotions,partnerships, temporary uses and creative place-making initiatives.
- Improve – Turn business feedback, observations and data into practical initiativesthat enhance amenity, encourage visitation and build business confidence.
- Deliver – Work collaboratively across Council and with external partners to turnideas into action and deliver positive outcomes for our town centres.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevanttertiary qualifications in economic development, urban planning,marketing, place management, business or a related discipline.
- Provenexperience delivering place-based initiatives, business engagementprograms or economic development activities, preferably within a localgovernment or place-focused setting.
- Stronginterpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to workeffectively with businesses, community stakeholders and internal teams.
- Aproven ability to coordinate projects or programs,
manage competingpriorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Theability to understand and balance diverse needs and perspectives whilemaintaining a customer-focused, collaborative and solutions-orientedapproach.
- Hold a current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
- Willingnessto complete a pre-employment medical and National Police check.
