Australian Digital Health Agency – Sydney NSW
The Secretariat Advisor plays a key role in supporting the Agency's governance framework by providing high-quality secretariat governance services to internal committees and external stakeholder groups. The position is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of committee operations, ensuring governance activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and in accordance with established policies and standards. The role works closely with senior leaders, committee chairs, members and stakeholders, providing trusted advice, managing competing priorities and contributing to continuous improvement of governance practices across the Agency.
The key duties of the position include:
- Demonstrated experience delivering governance or secretariat services in a complex, high-volume and deadline-driven setting.
- Sound understanding of governance principles, frameworks, policies and secretariat practices, with the ability to provide accurate and practical advice.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and resolve complex or sensitive issues while working with limited supervision.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing minutes, governance papers, reports, briefings and executive correspondence.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives, committee members and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify risks, analyse information and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint and contemporary digital tools, with a commitment to continuous improvement and adoption of efficient ways of working.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.
