Pilz Australia Industrial Automation - Mulgrave VIC

Do you love solving technical problems and helping people get things right? We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Melbourne team and help Australian workplaces run safely and smoothly.

This is a consultative role that blends engineering know-how, relationship-building and business development. You'll get to know your customers, understand what they're trying to achieve, and help them put practical safety and automation solutions in place.

You'll work with a wide mix of industries, including manufacturing, food and beverage, logistics, resources, packaging and infrastructure, and with people at every level, from plant teams and engineers to senior leaders.

What You'll Do

Build lasting relationships with key customers and offer advice that supports their goals

Spot recent opportunities for Pilz products and services by keeping an eye on market trends

Understand what customers need and recommend solutions that work well for them and for Pilz

Run regular Lunch and Learns to share what's new in the Pilz range

Plan your quarterly sales activity and contribute to forecasting and reporting

Work closely with inside sales, finance and logistics so customers get a smooth experience

Keep learning about new technology and standards, with training provided

Represent Pilz as an Ambassador for Safety through industry groups and networks

Become a trusted advisor by building your knowledge of relevant legislation and standards

About You

You enjoy mixing technical knowledge with connecting with people. You don't need to tick every box, but you should have:

An engineering qualification or a technical background

Experience in technical sales,



industrial automation, electrical engineering, machinery safety or a related field

A knack for building relationships and explaining technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical people

Good problem-solving and communication skills

A proactive, organised approach, and confidence working independently while pitching in as part of a team
