All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking a Transition Project Manager for a temporary role until July 2027 with possible extension.

- AO7 pay scale

A Transition Project Manager is required to manage the delivery of an ICT change (work package) as part of the Road Safety Systems Program (RSSP), in the Safer Roads Infrastructure (SRI) section of the Engineering and Technology (E&T;) Branch. This role reports to the RSSP Program Manager and will follow organisational governance and project delivery framework, based on PRINCE2 and Agile.

The Transition Project Manager ensures that the transition from project to operations is successful taking into account the business, people, process, and technology aspects. This includes establishing the Target Operating Model, end user and platform support arrangements, and the contract with a managed service provider (MSP).

Duties include:

- Facilitating the design, development, and validation of the components and artefacts that comprise the Target Operating Model, in conjunction with key SMEs/stakeholders.
- Developing a transition plan and related documentation to support communication to key stakeholders.




- Contributing to procurement activities associated with the selection and onboarding of a managed service provider (MSP) including determining/confirming service requirements and establishing the contract with the MSP.
- Planning and coordination of “transition in” project activities and resources to establish the IT support model and adoption of recent ways of working.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and provide regular status updates and reporting on progress.
- Managing organisational change activities including communications, identifying change impacts and business readiness, operational documentation and knowledge transfer, and establishing performance/service level monitoring.

Mandatory skills / experience

- ITIL Certification
- Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM)

Highly desirable skills / experience

- Recent experience in projects related to cloud solutions (particularly AWS) and commercial off the shelf – (COTS) products
- Experience delivering projects within QLD Government
- Experience managing the transition of enterprise software to operations in Government or a large organisation with a managed service provider
- Experience working on large enterprise transformational enterprise software projects
