Registered Midwife - Hospital Maternity Services - Temporary Full/Part Time - The Sutherland Hospital

Selection Criteria

- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with demonstrated recent post-registration experience within a maternity or midwifery setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide evidence based, woman-centred, culturally safe and compassionate midwifery care, building therapeutic partnerships with women, babies and families across the continuum of maternity care.
- Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with women, families, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to support coordinated, high-quality care.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while exercising skilled judgement, maintaining professional and ethical standards, and responding appropriately to complex clinical situations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise digital health systems and maintain accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical documentation
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance, risk management, patient safety, quality improvement principles and the Registered Midwife's role in delivering safe, evidence-based care.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and contributing to service development, innovation and continuous quality improvement to support contemporary models of maternity care.
