Family Support Network Inc. (FSN) is a community-based not-for-profit organisation supporting children, families and communities across the Northern Rivers since 1989. Our work is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred practice, with a clear and consistent focus on child safety.

Families Together is a flexible, intensive case management framework. It works with families where children are suspected or determined to be at risk of significant harm (ROSH), with the goal of keeping children secure at home and preventing entry into out-of-home care.

The program delivers structured, home-based support focused on strengthening parenting capacity, improving family functioning, and increasing safety for children.

The Families Together Program Support position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of the Families Together program.

Working alongside Practitioners and the Program Manager, the role focuses on coordination, organisation, and practical support to ensure families experience timely, responsive, and well-structured service delivery.

Role Responsibilities

- Support Practitioners with coordination of casework activities, including scheduling, follow-up actions, and preparation of resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in line with program and legislative requirements
- Assist with referrals, service connections, and appointment coordination for families
- Provide practical support to families to reduce barriers to engagement
- Assist in gathering and organising information to support case planning and review processes
- Support communication between families, Practitioners, and partner services




- Monitor tasks and documentation to support timely completion across the team
- Identify and elevate risks, concerns, or emerging issues in line with procedures
- Contribute to a safe, respectful and well-organised service environment

Role Requirements

- Experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role within community services or a similar environment
- Experience supporting services for children, young people and families (desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and respond to direction
- Understanding of child safety responsibilities and when to elevate concerns
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and client information systems
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Business Administration, or related field (or working towards), or equivalent experience
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Check
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Location & Conditions

- Based in Lismore
- Travel required across Kyogle, Lismore and Richmond Valley
- Vehicle provided during work hours
- SCHADS Award
