Roadside Technician (field-based) providing roadside assistance for a national breakdown company with over 15 million members. Excellent salary, advantages, overtime and bonus prospects.

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role n
40 hours per week between 6am and 12am, Monday to Sunday. Shifts are known 12 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and/or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home as soon as you start the van.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role n
n
Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
n
Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
n
Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
n
Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible, ensuring member mobility.
n
Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
n
Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
n
What you'll need to be considered for the Roadside Technician role n
n
Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally a Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
n
Must have a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or a mobile vehicle role.
n
A customer-focused approach.
n
Must have a full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
