Collaborate with Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner in accordance with the menu and established recipes.
n
Prepare and cook assigned dishes to the required standards of quality, taste, consistency and presentation.
n
Preparation of speciality and in-house menu items, including accommodating reasonable customer requests and dietary requirements.
n
Support daily kitchen operations by carrying out food preparation duties,



handling ingredients correctly and keeping work areas organised and efficient.
n
Support daily stock handling by checking, organising and storing ingredients and supplies under the direction of the Chef.
n
Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and report any issues.
n
Plate and garnish prepared dishes according to the business's presentation and portioning requirements.
n
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared and served efficiently during busy service periods.
n
Qualification and Experience n
n
Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen workplace
n
Certificate IV or higher Commercial Cooking
n
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
n
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
n
