The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is a leading specialist medical college dedicated to improving healthcare in rural, remote and First Nations communities, and supporting and advocating for our members.

About the role

Working out of an ACRRM Office, the Senior Policy Officer will:

- Lead and contribute to the development of ACRRM's policy positions, submissions, and advocacy activities.
- Provide expert policy advice to College leadership and represent ACRRM in high-level discussions across the sector.
- Monitor and analyse health workforce, education, and rural health policy developments.
- Build and sustain impactful relationships with government, industry, and health sector stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.

This role is suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can balance competing priorities, and is committed to making a tangible difference to healthcare outcomes in rural and remote Australia.

About you:

We are looking for a highly motivated professional who brings:

- 5+ years' experience in senior policy, research,

- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and governance frameworks.
- High-level organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Understanding of remote and rural communities including remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the healthcare training and policy context would be of benefit.
