About the role

Full time permanent position based in Milton, QLD or Mudgeeraba, QLD. Reporting directly to the Organisational Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Leading the implementation, monitoring and reporting of Dementia Australia's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), ensuring commitments are progressed and delivered
- Building and maintaining strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations
- Providing cultural advice and support to teams, helping strengthen cultural safety, capability and understanding across Dementia Australia
- Coordinating cultural awareness, education and learning opportunities and supporting staff participation in reconciliation initiatives
- Championing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and contributing to embedding reconciliation into organisational policies, programs and practices
- Co-chairing and actively contributing to the RAP Working Group and Community Activation Group
- Monitoring RAP-related data, outcomes, risks and opportunities, providing reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and strengthening meaningful reconciliation outcomes across the organisation.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, project management, social sciences, education, organisational development or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience implementing RAPs, organisational wide strategies, change initiatives
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, reconciliation, cultural safety and community engagement
- Previous experience in developing strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and internal /external stakeholders
- Experience in health, aged care,



disability or community services and commitment to positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Embraces individual and cultural differences through genuine, courteous behaviours
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviour; listens, values and acknowledges others
- Establishes accountability for the execution of quality results
- Gathers appropriate parties to stimulate ideas and innovation through collaborative ways of working and problem solving.
