About The Explore Life

We’re an Australian adventure and lifestyle brand built around one simple idea:

GET OUT AND LIVE.

We create products for people who love camping, 4WDing, travel and getting outside, but we’re also building a brand and community around the lifestyle itself. Our content spans Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, our website, email and paid advertising.

The role

This is not a traditional social media role. You won’t be handed a content calendar and asked to tick off three Reels and five posts each week.

You’ll work directly with the founders to come up with ideas, build recurring content formats, create campaigns, tell stories and find current ways to make people care about The Explore Life.

You’ll have a lot of creative freedom and a lot of responsibility.

What you'll actually do

- Develop the overall content strategy and social (orangic and paid) creative direction for The Explore Life
- Come up with original content ideas, series and recurring formats
- Work directly with the founders to create personality-led and founder-led content
- Turn everyday moments, products, people and behind-the-scenes chaos into content people actually want to watch
- Write hooks, scripts, concepts and captions
- Shoot and edit short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube
- Work with creators, UGC talent,



ambassadors and other personalities
- Create content that works organically and can be turned into paid advertising
- Watch what is happening across social and identify trends, formats and opportunities before they become tired
- Use analytics and audience behaviour to work out what is actually working
- Test ideas, learn from what doesn't work and keep moving
- Help shape how The Explore Life shows up online

We're looking for someone who...

- A content creator who has started thinking beyond just making videos
- A social media marketer who is obsessed with content
- A brand/content strategist who can actually pick up a camera and make the thing
- Someone coming from an agency, startup or fast-moving consumer brand

You should be:

- Naturally curious and constantly looking at what is working online
- Comfortable being on camera and directing people who are
- Strong at storytelling and coming up with ideas
- Comfortable shooting and editing your own content
- Commercially minded, you understand that attention ultimately needs to drive the business
- Fast-moving and willing to test ideas
- Someone who has strong taste and knows when something feels boring, forced or generic
- Confident enough to pitch an idea to the founders and make it happen

Experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects or similar is valuable.

We travel Australia and the world, create content around the lifestyle we love, and design and sell quality products that we genuinely use ourselves. Our content lives across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and our website. We're based in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
