About the Role A Melbourne-based building surveying consultancy is seeking an Assistant or Registered Building Surveyor to join its team. This assessment-focused role covers Class 1 and 10 projects, including recent homes, townhouses and associated residential structures.

Duties

- Assess plans and documentation for Class 1 and 10 projects
- Review applications against the NCC and Victorian building legislation
- Identify compliance issues and request further information
- Prepare assessment reports and approval documentation
- Liaise with clients, designers, architects and consultants




- Manage multiple applications within required timeframes
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation

About You

- Minimum two years’ building surveying experience
- Experience assessing Class 1 and 10 residential projects
- Building surveying qualification or currently completing relevant studies
- Victorian building surveying registration is advantageous but not essential
- Strong understanding of the NCC and Victorian building regulations
- Confident reading and interpreting architectural plans
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Must currently reside in Melbourne
