The Animation Director leads the Animation team, providing creative and strategic direction throughout the production process within the Harmony software environment. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent animation that aligns with the project's artistic vision, with a primary focus on elevating character movement and performance across the production.
Skills/Experience
- 7+ years of experience working in 2D animation and 5+ years experience in a similar role.
- Robust understanding and demonstration of hand-drawn and/or rigged animation fundamentals.
- Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information and ideas.
- Consultative, collaborative,
global working style.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, working effectively to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite and Toon Boom Harmony
- Confident presentation and facilitation skills
- Able to lead a client-focused approach to deliver shows to their expected standards.
- Effective leadership and management of large teams.
- Written and verbal communication skills, ensuring that the necessary information is flowing across production and within the department.
- High degree of professionalism, maturity & initiative.
