The Role

As Program Coordinator – School Operations and School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE), you will work collaboratively with the Principal and administrative team to provide effective educational and organisational leadership across the school. You will establish and maintain consistent whole-school systems that support high-quality teaching, learning and school operations. A key focus of the role will be leading school operations. You will oversee relief staffing and timetabling, as well as manage the allocation, coordination and support of education assistants. You will coordinate key whole-school activities, including professional development days, assemblies, staff meetings, the school calendar and whole-school events. You will also lead the effective coordination and administration of examinations and whole-school testing, including NAPLAN and OLNA. The second key focus of the portfolio will be overseeing and leading the school's SIDE program. This will include strengthening the school's partnership with SIDE and providing active supervision, support and mentoring to students undertaking distance education.

You will support students to actively engage in their learning and access pathways and opportunities aligned with their individual aspirations. You will also work closely with families, SIDE staff and school-based staff to monitor student engagement, progress and achievement. The successful applicant will ideally be highly organised, solutions-focused and able to manage competing priorities within a dynamic school environment. You will build productive relationships, strengthen staff and student support, and use evidence to continuously improve whole-school systems and practices.
