Christadelphian Aged Care – Gladesville NSW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing (Casual) to join the care team at Christadelphian Aged Care in Gladesville, NSW. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of our aged care residents. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide essential support to our nursing and care staff, working in a collaborative environment that values person-centred care and dignity for all residents. This role is integral to ensuring our residents receive high-quality support with their daily living needs and maintaining a safe, comfortable care environment.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing and toileting
- Supporting nursing staff with clinical care tasks under their direction and supervision
- Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' conditions, health concerns or behaviours to nursing staff
- Maintaining a clean, secure and comfortable environment for residents across all care areas
- Assisting with feeding and ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration for residents
- Supporting residents with mobility, transferring and positioning using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships
- Maintaining accurate and timely records as required by the facility
- Following health and safety protocols, infection control procedures and relevant aged care regulations
- Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure coordinated, compassionate resident care

What we're looking for

- Certification as an Assistant in Nursing or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR certification




- Working with Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain one
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with residents, families and staff
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care and respect for resident dignity and independence
- Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work casual shifts as required
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Awareness of and commitment to infection control and health and safety practices
- Prior experience in aged care, disability support or healthcare settings is highly valued
