Head of Operational Risk - Line 2 (Wealth & Value Chain)

The organisation is continuing to strengthen its risk management capability, with a strong focus on effective second-line oversight and sustainable risk outcomes. These roles offer the opportunity to partner with senior leaders across complex business portfolios.
Responsibilities

- Provide independent 2nd line oversight, challenge and advice across non-financial and operational risks.
- Assess risk management effectiveness, including risk assessments, controls, framework adherence and risk appetite.
- Identify material and emerging risks across end-to-end value chains, processes, systems and data.
- Challenge root-cause analysis and remediation plans, monitoring delivery and sustainable risk outcomes.




- Provide transparent risk insight and advice to senior leaders and governance forums.
- Lead and develop risk capability while role-modelling strong risk culture, judgement and constructive challenge.

What You'll Need to Succeed

- 15+ years' financial services experience with strong operational/non-financial risk expertise.
- Demonstrated experience across value chain, wealth, retail banking or similarly complex financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end processes, controls, customer journeys and interconnected risks.
- Proven ability to provide independent second-line challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex risk matters into clear, practical advice.
- Excellent executive communication, influencing and leadership skills.
