About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Logistics & Stores, you will support a wide range of operational activities across the Operational Support team. This role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the productive delivery of community services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Receiving and dispatching goods through the use of our in-house systems and delivering goods to our different council sites.
- Stocking and issuing goods through the use of a forklift
- Inspecting dumped roadside and reserve rubbish and with a co-worker picking up as required along with scheduled rubbish pick-ups
- Contributing to a safe workplace through compliance with work health and safety procedures.
- Working collaboratively with team members, contractors, suppliers and community stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across the team.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in delivering quality outcomes and values working as part of a team. You'll bring a strong safety focus,
a proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute wherever needed to support the community.
What You’ll Bring:
- A commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
- Basic computer and administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and flexibility to work across a variety of operational activities.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly approach when interacting with customers and members of the community.
To be considered for this permanent full-time position you must meet the following criteria.
- As a minimum an MR Class License (current).
- A Front-End Loader License.
- Be Reasonably Fit.
