Corporate M&A; and Capital Markets Lawyer - Sydney

A leading independent Australian firm is seeking a talented Lawyer to join its highly regarded Corporate practice in Sydney.

This is an outstanding chance to join a growing team acting on impactful, market-shaping M&A;, IPOs and capital raisings for domestic and global clients in technology, fintech, health, financial services and retail. The successful candidate will take a lead role on transactions, deal directly with clients and work closely with industry-leading partners known for bringing companies to scale.

The Role

- Playing a lead role on Australian and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions.
- Acting on capital raisings, IPOs and other equity capital markets transactions.
- Advising on strategic corporate matters, governance, shareholder activism and the ASX Listing Rules.
- Building direct client relationships with support from the partners.
- Working with high-growth organisations on long-term client partnerships.

About you

- 3+ years' post-qualification experience within a distinguished corporate law practice.




- Equity capital markets experience (highly desirable but not required).
- Well-developed project management skills and the ability to drive tasks with autonomy.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven record of building client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A commitment to continuous learning.
