Laboratory Support Officer - Immunobiology (IB) Network

The Opportunity
Agilex is growing and we're seeking applications for a permanent, full-time Laboratory Support Officer to join our Immunobiology (IB) Network team based at the Royal North Shore Health Hub in St Leonards, NSW.
Our IB Network team focus on science in current drug modalities such as cell therapies (CAR-T and CAR-NK), gene therapies and cellular/RNA modulator therapies that typically utilise Flow Cytometry assays in order to deliver the Pharmacokinetic (PK) data to support clinical studies.
What You’ll Do
In this hands-on role, you will provide critical support in the validation and sample analysis of clinical and pre-clinical samples in a highly regulated lab environment. Reporting to the Analytical Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
General laboratory and laboratory equipment maintenance in accordance with SOPs and quality systems
General laboratory housekeeping ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy to maintain a safe working environment
Managing and maintaining consumables laboratory stock and waste as directed
Maintenance of stock and inventory levels in accordance with pre-defined volumes
Quality Control support
Coordination of sample receipt and shipment
Executing basic analytical methods (e.g., isolation of cells, stimulations etc.), as required
Assist laboratory staff with day-to-day tasks including preparation of general reagents, labelling and pooling/collection/aliquoting for control matrices
You’re organised, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced lab environment. You’ll bring:
A Degree in life sciences or equivalent (desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Great time management, planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and in a team
