About the role:
You will report to the Production Supervisor on technical matters relating to how you perform your work, the tools you use and the work you undertake.
Your role will involve working closely with other production technicians, quality and warehouse staff
Key Duties:
Perform fine soldering, de-soldering, crimping, cutting, stripping, and cable preparation
Use precision tools to measure and prepare cables accurately
Read and understand technical drawings and engineering instructions
Record assembly steps, test results, and inventory information accurately
Maintain accurate records and follow safety and quality standards
Assist with other mechanical and electronic assembly tasks as needed

To succeed in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in soldering and electro-mechanical assembly
Previous experience in cable harness assembly beneficial
Previous experience in using hand tools and electrical tools
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
Can-do attitude to learn new tasks and processes
Available to work full time (38 hours per week)
Defence industry experience is an advantage but those with experience in other industries such as Rail/Transport, Medical, Automotive or Commercial Electronics are encouraged to apply.
