We are partnering with a premier global firm looking to expand its national forensic engineering footprint across Queensland.
Remuneration & Package
- Vehicle: $20,000 p.a. Car Allowance
- Setup: All necessary IT hardware, tools, and PPE equipment will be delivered to your home prior to commencement
The Role: Structural Detective Work
- Investigate & Assess: Conduct site inspections across residential, commercial, and small-to-medium structures to identify damage causation and design/construction defects against relevant codes.
- Deliver Solutions: Prepare clear, forensic-level causation reports, scopes of work, and repair design packages.
- Technical Computations: Perform structural repair calculations using tools like SpaceGass and Structural Toolkit.
- Mentorship: Share your expertise by coaching and mentoring junior engineers across the national team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 10+ years of Australian industry experience (5+ forensic engineering).
- Must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- (Note: Applicants who have not worked as a Structural Engineer in an Australian consultancy will not be considered.)
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit, etc.).
- Exceptional Written & Verbal English Communication: High-level report writing and articulate verbal communication are non-negotiable.
- Mindset & Attitude: A true structural detective mindset-curious, highly analytical, with a strong "can-do" attitude and a desire to grow your career long-term in the forensic engineering/insurance space.
