We're looking for a technically minded Internal Sales Engineer who enjoys understanding how things work, analysing requirements and developing practical solutions for customers. This is more than a traditional internal sales role.
It's an opportunity to develop technical expertise while working with innovative products & solutions, leading global suppliers and customers operating in some of Australia's most demanding industries.
About the Role
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to understand project requirements and help identify the most appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
You’ll gain exposure to diverse technologies and applications while building the knowledge and experience needed to become a trusted technical advisor.
Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll develop expertise across multiple product lines and industries while supporting customer projects from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to become a recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more technology areas, helping customers navigate complex requirements and identify the best solution for their application
What You’ll Be Doing
Analysing customer requirements and technical specifications
- Reviewing drawings, datasheets and RFQ documentation
- Researching products, technologies and application requirements
- Identifying suitable solution options from leading global suppliers
- Preparing quotations and technical proposals
- Coordinating technical and commercial input from suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting customer projects through various stages of the sales process
- Maintaining customer and opportunity information within business systems
- Building technical knowledge and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Supporting continuous improvement of systems, workflows and customer support processes
