This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive Drug & Alcohol assessments in collaboration with mental health clinicians and providing integrated discharge planning for complex patients and carers with a Dual Diagnosis. This role involves working alongside mental health clinicians / peer workers and community stakeholders across mental health, drug and alcohol and general health to ensure coordinated care and support are in place before discharge, with the aim to improve patient outcomes.

The D&A; CNC1 is a clinical expert who leads the delivery of evidence-based clinical practice, provides education and management guidance to health care professionals, contributes to research and provides professional leadership.

Essential Requirements

- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Current NSW Driver's License.
- At least 5 years full time post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to Drug & Alcohol, or other qualifications deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
