About the role

We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our Southport-based clinic on a part-time basis, working a minimum of 25 to 30 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours as required,



such as when team members are on leave. You will work closely with our specialist team, assisting in diagnostics, surgical planning, and providing exceptional care throughout the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

- Perform visual assessments, diagnostic testing (OCT, Pentacam, Visual Field, etc.)
- Conduct pre and post-operative evaluations
- Assist with minor in-clinic procedures
- Support surgical planning, lens calculations, and clinical documentation
- Help lead dry eye and refractive assessment clinics
- Provide outstanding patient support and assisting with administration duties as required

About you

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Passion for patient care and robust communication skills
- Experience with diagnostic equipment (desirable)
- Genie software experience (preferred but not essential)
