The role

- Continuing, part time (40% fraction)
- Dubbo

We are seeking a committed Technical Assistant to provide high‑quality technical and laboratory support across teaching, clinical and research environments.

In this hands‑on role, you will work within a collaborative Technical Services team, supporting classes in areas such as Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Paramedicine, Chemistry, Microbiology and Healthcare Science.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a practical lab‑based environment, and looks to work collaboratively across multiple campuses and disciplines as part of a multi-skilled technical team.

There are physical capability requirements inherent to this position thus as part of this recruitment, a pre-employment functional screening is required.

About you

- Qualifications, skills and experience relevant to the role
- Knowledge and experience in chemistry, microbiology, anatomy & physiology, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately in a high‑volume environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cooperative, efficient team.
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures and maintain high safety standards.
- Experience in maintaining records for equipment, chemicals and consumables.
