You'll be the first point of contact for our residents, guests and customers, helping bring The Switch brand to life every day.
This role is a unique blend of administration and customer service. You'll spend much of your time managing resident administration, payments and our property management systems, while also supporting our community through face‑to‑face interactions, property tours, events and day‑to‑day resident enquiries.
At The Switch, we're building more than student accommodation. We're creating a community‑led lifestyle brand where students can connect, grow and thrive. Every interaction matters, and the person in this role understands that great service isn't one‑size‑fits‑all. Some residents need support and guidance, others simply want a friendly face and a sense of belonging.
A few things to know before applying
- Full-time position (38 hours per week). Your roster will be either Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday - Thursday. We can be flexible based on your preferences where possible.
- 8 hour shifts are either 10am - 6pm OR 11am - 7pm (we do not operate a 24/7 reception)

ABOUT THE SWITCH

Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, our 28-storey property is home to more than 650 students from around the world. Alongside Melbourne, The Switch also operates properties in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be one of the first faces and first points of contact for residents, guests and customers
- Deliver an exceptional, brand-led customer experience across face‑to‑face, phone, email and social channels
- Manage resident administration including leases, RTBA bond compliance requirements and payment systems
- Conduct property tours and support prospective residents through the leasing journey
- Build genuine relationships with residents so they feel part of a community, not just a building
- Support events, activations and initiatives that bring residents together
- Complete operational and administrative tasks including audits, reporting, inspections and process improvements
- Maintain high presentation standards across apartments and common areas
- Work collaboratively with the broader team to improve processes and enhance the resident experience
ABOUT YOU
- You genuinely enjoy helping people and building relationships
- You're highly organised and take pride in getting the details right
- You enjoy a mix of focused administration and customer-facing work
- You have solid emotional intelligence and know how to adapt your approach. Some residents will need patience and guidance, others will want energy and enthusiasm. You can connect with both.
- You're confident using technology and learning new systems
- You communicate well and can build rapport with a diverse community of students from around the world
- You bring a positive attitude, energy and ownership to your work
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, accommodation or a similar industry is valued, but attitude and willingness to learn are more important
