About the Junior Planner Role
We're looking for an ambitious Assistant Planner ready to take the next step in their planning career. The Junior Planner will gain ownership of key areas including markdowns, promotions, NOOS lines and delivery schedules, giving you the chance to make a real commercial impact. Perfect for someone who thrives on solving problems, using data to drive decisions and turning insight into action, you'll play an important role in delivering growth and exceptional outcomes for our customers.
The day-to-day..
Trade and performance analysis
Prepare and refresh weekly trade reports, and present insights in trade and best-seller meetings
Track actions from trade and best-seller meetings and follow them through to completion
Run regular competitor checks to keep an eye on pricing, product and promotional activity
Work closely with Buying, Production, Ecommerce and Supply Chain to turn insights into action
Markdowns and promotions
Set up and manage the promotional tracker and promo lists
Build and action markdown proposals, then monitor performance through the season
Make sure every price change is loaded accurately and on time, protecting pricing integrity and margin
Stock and range management
Manage NOOS (Never Out Of Stock) lines: plan sales, monitor stock cover, and place orders within lead times so key lines stay in stock
Maintain the repeats tracker, size curves and quantification sheets
Manage fragmentation and end-of-season stock across channels, including outlet
Delivery and product flow
Own the delivery schedule, tracking every delivery along with any price, attribute or in-store date changes
Maintain the look flow and line flows, and use them in production meetings to highlight risks early
Check product attributes (price points, look names, look types, season codes) so product goes live correctly and on time
What You'll Bring
Experience as an Assistant Planner, Allocator or Merchandise Analyst, and you're ready to step up and own more of the planning process
Advanced Excel skills
A good understanding of key retail metrics such as sell-through, stock turn, margin and weeks cover
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle time-critical tasks
Clear communication and the confidence to share insights with key stakeholders
