An opportunity currently exists for a Transport Coordinator based at our Tennyson Site on a permanent, full time basis. The purpose of this position is to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods from Tennyson to entire QLD region.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and optimise daily transport schedules and delivery routes to meet customer requirements.
- Allocate drivers and vehicles based on delivery priorities, capacity and operational needs.
- Process, release and manage transport orders accurately using Microsoft D365.
- Ensure transport and order information is complete, accurate and aligned with operational requirements.
- Monitor and manage daily pallet movements and reconciliation for the Tennyson site.
- Maintain accurate pallet account records across CHEP and Loscam systems.
- Support efficient day-to-day transport operations by proactively identifying and resolving scheduling or delivery issues.
- Work closely with drivers, warehouse teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
- Ensure all transport activities comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Mass Management and Fatigue Management requirements.
- Contribute to a safe,
efficient and customer-focused transport operation
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in FMCG, Food or high volume and batch manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of CoR, Mass Management, and Fatigue Management.
- Exposure to TMS platforms such as TransVirtual, Freight2020, MTData, or FreightTracker is highly desired.
- Experience in FMCG or temperature-controlled freight environments.
- Experience in transport coordination, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft D365 and/or SAP, plus intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Certificate III or IV in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (or working toward).
- A valid forklift license is advantageous but not essential.
- Additional compliance-related training (CoR, Fatigue Management, Load Restraint) is highly regarded.
