We're growing our Social Inclusion & Wellbeing team and looking for an energetic, creative and people-focused Facilitator who loves bringing people together.

This is more than running activities. Working across our community spaces and out in the community, you'll create experiences that help older people build friendships, stay connected, maintain independence, try new things and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

From social groups and outings to events and new activities, you'll get to know our participants and help shape experiences around their interests, cultures and what matters most to them.

About the Role

Working as part of our energetic and purpose-driven Social Inclusion & Wellbeing team, you'll create experiences that bring people together, strengthen connections and spark creativity.

You'll:

- Facilitate welcoming and engaging Social Groups, activities, events and outings.
- Create inclusive experiences where people feel connected, valued and inspired to participate.
- Bring fresh ideas and creativity to activities and community experiences.
- Shape experiences around participants' interests, goals and cultures.
- Coordinate the people, places and resources that bring great experiences to life.
- Work alongside staff and volunteers to create safe, enjoyable and memorable experiences.




- Build community connections and help more people discover FOCUS Connect Social Groups.

About You

You will naturally connect with our Vision, “A future where every person belongs and thrives,” and our values of Connection, Inclusion and Creativity .

You will love bringing people together, making people feel welcome and creating experiences they want to be part of. You'll be creative, organised and comfortable making things happen in a diverse community.

You'll bring:

- Experience facilitating social groups, activities, events or community programs.
- A warm, engaging and inclusive approach.
- Creativity, energy and great ideas.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence working with older people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- A current driver’s license and willingness to drive FOCUS Connect vans or buses. (A bus license would be highly regarded although not essential).

First Aid, CPR and NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.

Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check.

Experience or qualifications in aged care, community services, recreation, leisure and health or similar would be highly regarded.

Bilingual or multilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
