This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has experience with property maintenance. You will be responsible for the general maintenance, presentation, and upkeep of the venue's buildings, gardens, and outdoor spaces.
Key responsibilities
- General property and building maintenance
- Basic repairs, painting, and preventative maintenance
- Lawn mowing, whipper snipping, edging, and weed control
- Garden maintenance, including pruning, planting, mulching, and watering
- Maintaining outdoor furniture, fences, pathways, and irrigation systems
- Assisting with venue preparation before weddings and events
- Setting up and packing down equipment and event spaces as required
- Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment
- Identifying maintenance issues and recommending solutions
- Ensuring the venue is presented to a high standard at all times
About you
- Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman work, groundskeeping, gardening, or a similar role
- A certification in carpentry or building is preferred but not a necessity
- Practical skills across general repairs and maintenance
- Experience operating gardening and landscaping equipment
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Positive problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
