Our client is a national litigation firm with a growing client base and building and construction disputes in its mix of work. Its NSW team is looking for a Building and Construction Litigation Lawyer with 3 to 6 years' PQE, predominantly in litigation, who wants real files and the chance to build a specialist practice.

About the role

You will run building and construction disputes alongside the team's wider litigation work. You will:

- Act in building and construction disputes, including disputes involving developers
- Manage matters from pleadings and evidence through to hearings and resolution in the NSW courts, the Federal Court and NCAT
- Pick up insolvency, insurance and general or commercial litigation as it comes through the team
- Advise clients on strategy, prospects and risk at each stage of a dispute
- Work with senior leadership on the more complex matters

What you'll bring

- 3 to 6 years' PQE, predominantly in litigation




- Knowledge of the practice and procedure of the NSW and Federal courts
- Hands-on experience managing and running litigation matters
- Admission to practise in Australia and a current practising certificate
- Favourable, not essential: building and construction litigation experience, or experience in insolvency, insurance, or general and commercial litigation
- Favourable: experience with disputes in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal
