We're looking for a passionate and proactive Coordinator Retirement Living to join our Housing Services team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of older South Australians while helping shape positive resident experiences across our retirement living communities.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Coordinator Retirement Living, you'll be at the heart of resident life, supporting people to live independently while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-managed community. You'll work closely with residents, families, service providers, and internal teams to coordinate resident support, manage occupancy and contract processes, ensure compliance with retirement living legislation, and foster strong community connections that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
About You
You are a people-focused professional who thrives on building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting older people to achieve the lifestyle they want.
You'll bring:
- Experience in Retirement Living, Aged Care, Housing, Community Services, or a similar sector.
- Experience managing customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, administration, and report-writing abilities.
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to remain independent and connected to their communities.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Community Services, Aged Care, Retirement Living, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Clearance.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working within a Retirement Village environment.
- Knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act 2016 and associated regulations.
- Understanding of Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Programme, and My Aged Care.
