About the role

This role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills and specialist knowledge in industrial packaging. You'll work closely with sales, administration and warehouse teams, helping customers get the right products when they need them. You'll learn about products, pricing, stock management and the industries supported. Experience in the industry is not necessary as training and support will be provided, with responsibilities building as your knowledge and confidence grow. Enthusiasm and a positive workplace attitude are essential.

Key responsibilities

- Processing customer orders, preparing quotations and assisting with invoicing

- Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email

- Supporting the national sales team with pricing, product availability and order updates

- Coordinating stock requirements and transfers between branches

- Following up outstanding orders and keeping customers informed





- Using Excel and business systems to maintain accurate pricing, order and customer information

- Assisting with customer procurement portals, delivery documentation and service enquiries

About you

- Positive Excel skills, including confidence with spreadsheets, sorting, filtering and formulas

- A willingness to ask questions, take feedback and keep learning

- Care with numbers and details, and pride in getting things right

- Clear communication and a helpful, professional approach

- Reliability, follow-through and the ability to organise competing tasks

- An interest in products, practical problem-solving and how businesses operate

- Motivation to contribute to the team and take on more responsibility over time

- Previous administration, customer service or sales support experience is welcome, but skills can be demonstrated through study, other work or practical experience
