About the role:
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, IAS
- Working accross a range of clients and entity structures (companies, individuals, trusts, partnerships and SMSF)
- Assisting with year-end tax planning
- Managing accounting and compliance work from beginning to end
- Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Potentially supporting and mentoring one or two junior team members
- The firm uses MYOB AE and Class. Previous SMSF experience is not essential, with training available.
About You:
- Experience preparing accounts and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- A minimum of three years’ experience within an Australian accounting firm
- A relevant degree in accounting, commerce or a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust numerical skills and attention to detail
- A methodical, organised approach and pride in producing accurate work
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
