You will have the opportunity to deliver a diverse range of projects in various NT locations such as Arnhem Land, Kakadu National Park and the Big Rivers Region.

Our business is known as a "do it all" Building and Trade service provider. Holding both Commercial and Residential Licenses as well as an Electrical License we deliver complete Government projects and contracts ranging from community housing maintenance and remediation, extensions, new builds as well as commercial projects in assets such as Government and Council buildings, Schools, Hospitals and Health Clinics, Ranger Stations, Visitor Centres and Public use assets such as amenity blocks. Our approach goes beyond traditional building and construction.

We have been in operation for 10 years in the NT and specialises in Remote Maintenance and Building servicing both Residential and Commercial Clients. We work in town locations and some of Australia's most remote locations sometimes up to 8hrs drive from the nearest hardware store (One current project is camping and very remote, only for the serious adventurers, could be you). Our Clients Include Federal Government, State Government, Local Councils and NGO's.

Role overview:
The work - A Concreter/Carpenter for NBPS will generally work a 10-11hr day. The duties and scope of our projects are always varying include, Concreting, Structural Steel, Framing, Fit-Out, Roofing, Cladding, Landscaping, Fencing, Assisting our in House Plumbers and Electricians.

- Work life balance. We have both Katherine and remote area projects, working in remote areas up to 3 weeks at a time. The roster is very flexible and extended time off is encouraged to explore the area or get quality time home with family. We run generally 21/10 for rosters for remote works or Mon/Fri in Town.

- FIFO roster of three weeks on and one week off

- Flights and accommodation provided

- Remote-area allowances where applicable

- Accommodation is supplied for all Remote Projects and Katherine for Local Projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

- Reviewing plans, measurements and job scopes

- Setting out and preparing work areas

- Excavation and subgrade preparation

- Installing formwork, reinforcement and vapour barriers

- Calculating and coordinating concrete quantities

- Organising pours, equipment and required materials

- Placing, screeding and finishing concrete

- Cutting control joints and completing curing requirements

- Stripping formwork and leaving sites clean and complete

- Completing small carpentry and general construction works when required

- Recording job progress, photographs, materials and completed work

- Working safely and professionally in remote locations





- Coordinate yourself and your schedule to meet deadlines, at times working alone

- Ensure adherence to all plans, specifications, and client requirements

- Liaise with tenants in a professional manner

- Participate in regular site checks, toolbox meetings, and site inductions

- Keep accurate daily records, logs, and documentation

- Comply with WHS directions, and complete mandatory safety and compliance documents and training through SiteDocs and Multiply Me platforms.

- Represent NBPS with professionalism, integrity, and a solutions-focused mindset

What you will bring:

- Experience in residential building industry

- 5+ years and previous experience as a Foreman for the Foreman role

- Trade qualifications

- Knowledge of various trades and multi skillset. We work solo or in small teams as we are remote so you will be hands on in every area of carpentry to deliver a project.

- A current white card certification

- Open driver’s license

- Capacity to obtain and hold police checks and Ochre (NT working with children check) if not already obtained

- Solid knowledge of the NCC, local regulations, and construction best practices

- Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques & materials

- Excellent communication skills to deal with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, architects, and other stakeholders

- Skills for scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

- Understanding of all WHS standards, safety protocols, risk assessment

- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality control

- Strong leadership and organisational abilities

- Ability to keeping accurate site records and documentation

- Team player with good people skills

- Disciplined and can work with minimal supervision
