About the role

Are you passionate about hospitality and providing excellent customer service? As Supervising Cafe All Rounder/Barista at Broadbeach Surf Lifesaving Club Inc., you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant, beachside kiosk cafe workplace. This part-time permanent role is 30 hours per well and is based in Broadbeach, QLD 4218.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks

- Assisting with food preparation and service, ensuring all items are presented to the highest standard

- Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers

- Maintaining a clean and well-organised work environment and adhering to all health and safety standards, including knowledge of local Gold Coast food licensing requirements, safe food handling practices, and compliance with relevant council regulations.

- Restocking, ordering and inventory management of cafe supplies

- Supervise and training all kiosk staff

- Invoicing and supplier administration





- MYOB data entry and basic bookkeeping or willing to learn

What we're looking for

- Previous supervising experience in a customer-facing hospitality role, ideally within a café or restaurant setting. This should include staff rostering, leading and motivating a team, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate vision and expectations, act as a role model, and support staff performance and development.

- Confident working with both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including use of POS systems, equipment management and coordination, and liaising effectively with governing boards.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Enthusiasm for food and beverage presentation and a commitment to maintaining high standards

- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
