Rams sheet metal is seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, development, installation, testing and maintenance of Mechanical systems and equipment, with involvement across HVAC, Mechanical services, fabrication and engineering projects

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and review Mechanical systems, components and equipment.

- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.

- Assist with the design, selection and optimisation of*HVAC and Mechanical systems *including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and associated equipment.

- Undertake Mechanical calculations relating equipment sizing, airflow, heat loads, pressure and system performance.

- Support the installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of Mechanical equipment and system.

- Diagnose Mechanical faults and recommend practical engineering solutions.

- Review equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and safety.

- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, technicians and other project stakeholders.

- Ensure engineering work copies with relevant Australian standards,

- WHS requirements and project specifications,





- Assist with project planning, coasting, procurement and delivery.

- Provide technical support for fabrication, manufacturing and laser-related operations where required.

- Prepare reports and maintain engineering and project documentation.

Qualifications &Experience;

- Bachelor's degree in*Mechanical Engineering *or a closely related engineering discipline.

- Relevant professional Experience in Mechanical engineering.

- Knowledge and /or practical experience with HVAC and Mechanical service systems

- Ability to interpret and prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications.

- Understanding of Mechanical design, manufacturing, fabrication and maintenance principles.

- Experience with CAD or other Mechanical engineering/design software is desirable.

- Solid analytical, trouble shooting and problem -solving skills.

- Good written and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.

What we offer:

This is a full -time, permanent position offering an annual salary of **90,000 plus superannuation *.
